Sripada Yellampally Project (SYP) is an

important Milestone in the development of

back ward areas of Telangana State as well as

in the proposed full harnessing and utilization

of available waters of Godavari River, as

envisaged by the Godavari Water Utilization

Authority, constituted by the erstwhile

Government of Andhra Pradesh. The proposed

Sripada Yellampally Project is to tap the

available yield in Godavari River below the

Sri Rama Sagar Project, hitherto untapped.

Scope of the project:

Sripada Yellampally Barrage across Godavari @ Yellampally (V) , Anthergoan (M), Peddapally

District is constructed with a Gross Storage capacity of 20.175 TMC and completed in the

year 2016. It is proposed to irrigate 1,51,400 Acres new Ayacut through Distributary Canal

Net work Package No. I, II & III of Sripada Yellampally Project Stage-II, Phase–I in

Karimnagar , Rajanna Siricilla and Jagitiyal Districts by utilizing the 12 TMC of water, 7841

Acres New Ayacut and 7000 Acres Stabilization through Manthani Lift Irrigation Scheme by

utilizing 2 TMC of water and 30,000 Acres stabilization in Mancherial District through

Kaddem (Gudem) Lift Irrigation Scheme by utilizing 3.00 TMC of water.

Kaddem lift irrigation scheme is completed in the year 2015 and remaining two schemes i.e

SYP Sage-II, Phase-I and Manthani Lift Schemes are in progress.

Apart from the above Lift Irrigation Schemes, NTPC lift Scheme to supply 6.50 TMC /Annum

to NTPC , Ramagundam is completed in the year 2012
