- Komuravelli Rajesh: Success Built on Learning
A B.Tech graduate (2008) from a business family, Mr. Komuravelli Rajesh aspired to establish a rice mill immediately after graduation. Instead, his family advised him to first understand the business from the ground up.
He joined M/s Mahendra Industries, a rice mill owned by a family friend, where he spent 10 years mastering every aspect of the trade—from paddy procurement, milling operations and machinery to marketing, exports, farmer relations and regulatory compliance.
Armed with this invaluable experience, he established M/s Komuravelly Industries in 2018. The unit’s steady growth enabled him to set up a second rice mill, M/s Priyanka Industries, in 2024, reflecting his entrepreneurial vision and disciplined approach.
Despite his achievements, Rajesh remains grounded, humble and soft-spoken. He shies away from the limelight, often saying that there are many entrepreneurs far more successful than him and that he is simply happy learning from others while continuously improving himself.
His journey is a reminder that patience, practical learning and humility are the foundations of lasting entrepreneurial success.
- Sai Kiran: From Home Experiments to Sustainable Innovation
After completing his B.E. (Computer Science) in 2013, Mr. Sai Kiran chose entrepreneurship with a vision to develop an eco-friendly product. His initial ideas—glass powder products and conventional plastic recycling—were found to be commercially unviable due to raw material constraints and low margins.
While researching sustainable technologies, he came across the concept of plastic-sand composite pavement tiles. He began experimenting at home using waste plastic, sand and glass powder. On approaching the District Industries Centre (DIC), Peddapalli, he was advised to first develop a viable product using appropriate machinery.
He purchased a small moulding machine from Industrial Estate, Kattedan, personally modified it, and after several trial runs successfully developed Polysand Pavement Tiles. He then established Ricycle Eco Solutions with financial assistance under PMEGP through KVIB.
Today, the unit manufactures 400–500 eco-friendly tiles per day, capable of bearing loads up to 100 tonnes, and supplies them to major municipalities including Pune and Nashik for parking and paving applications.
By converting plastic waste into durable construction materials, Sai Kiran has built a successful enterprise while contributing to environmental sustainability. His journey exemplifies how innovation, perseverance and continuous experimentation can transform an idea into a thriving green business, making him a true inspiration for aspiring eco-preneurs.
