Peddapalli district

 is a district located in the northern region of the Indian state of Telangana. Ramagundam city is an educational and industrial hub. Ramagundam city is well known for its Multi cultural and linguistic diversity. Peddapalli Town is also an educational hub and also famous mostly for agricultural occupation. Ramagundam is only the largest city in this District and 5th largest city in Telangana State.

The district is spread over an area of 4,614.74 square kilometres (1,781.76 sq mi)

As of 2011 Census of India, the district has a population of 795,332.

Administrative divisions

The district will have two revenue divisions of Manthani and Peddapalli are sub-divided into 14 mandals

Transport

Peddapalli is well connected by road and rail from major parts of India. There is an unused airstrip at Basant Nagar Kesoram cement factory at Ramagundam which is about 11 km from Peddapalli.

Being situated on Grand Trunk Railway line, Peddapalli Railway Junction is well connected with metropolis such as Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, etc. that connects North and South India, and also serves as the junction point for Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway line

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Godavarikhani bus depot operates dedicated services from Peddapalli bus station to various villages and cities throughout the state .
